Sharks and Rovers represent Far North Coast

Richmond Rovers and Lennox Head will compete in the Northern Champions Cup this weekend in Coffs Harbour against the 2007 champion soccer clubs from Coffs Harbour, Armidale/Tamworth and Port Macquarie.

The best-of-the-best concept is a joint venture between the four zones and aims to establish a long term competition where both grand final winners and point score champions can vie for bragging rights.

Rovers and Lennox are well-placed to win this tournament, Football FNC general manager Matt Kelso said. We expect they will do the zone and their clubs proud. Premier League Champions Rovers take a near full strength squad, while the womens team from Lennox have a formidable list of players at their disposal as well.

Coffs Harbour International Stadium will be the venue for all fixtures with the semis on Saturday and the final on Sunday.
