1. Byron Latin Fiesta

A FOUR-DAY festival of all things Latino is coming to the Northern Rivers. Parties, dance exhibitions and workshops mean that you can dance, enjoy the experts showing off their skills and learn some new moves.

2. Halloween in Nimbin

The Nimbin Bush Theatre is holding its annual Halloween Party. There will be lots of games to play, including the hit of last year: Dr Frankenstein's live experiments in the Operating Theatre. New this year is the chance to meet with the beautiful Queen of the Faeries and steal treasure from the sleeping Troll.

At the Nimbin Bush Theatre, 2 Blue Knob Rd, Nimbin, this Saturday from 4pm. $2 - $5.

 

3. Dead Beatz

THE Star Court Theatre will open its doors to another dimension with Dead Beatz, the first instalment of dance parties at theatre.

DJs include Soundwave, Amozon, Mantra and Relic.

Dance performances by The Cassettes, Hearts of Venus, Jacinta Rose and Roxie Rose Burlesque.

4. Halloween Ball in Bangalow

Bangalow Community Children's Centre is throwing a Halloween Ball this weekend.

For this year's annual fundraiser, the A&I Hall will be transformed into an abandoned grand ballroom. The night is an adults-only event, with a complimentary cocktail on arrival. Eerie entertainment will be provided by DJ Sally Sound, with a special guest DJ appearance from Pat Davern from Grinspoon. There are great prizes up for grabs on the night, including best dressed.

Tickets are $35 when bought through the Children's Centre, and $40 at the door.

5. The Big Gig

MICK Meredith's style has been described as laid back and cheeky with plenty of laughs and applause, a bloke you'll laugh at on stage and want to have a beer with afterwards. He is joined by Fiona McGary as support and Mandy Nolan as MC.
