$150,000 to repair showground

NATURAL Disaster Relief Scheme funding of more than $150,000 has been granted to Lismore City Council for repair work at the local showground.

NSW Minister for Lands, Tony Kelly, said a total of $154,067 had been allocated as final payment for the completion of work.

“The showground sustained major damage to buildings during a hail storm in October 2007,” the Minister said.

“This money follows on from the first stage of relief funding provided earlier this year of $105,563.”

Country Labor MLC for Lismore, Peter Primrose, welcomed the second and final stage of funding.
