000 call sends police to deliver bottle of water

GLADSTONE Police on Saturday morning received a 000 call just before 11am about a man who had been seen walking alongside the busy Bruce Hwy looking rather weak.

He was 10km north of Miriam Vale the caller said.

The caller, who kindly pulled over to speak to the man, said he had been told the man was on his way to Gin Gin and just needed some water.

Police from the Calliope road policing unit were dispatched to bring the man a bottle of water.
