Oversee, coordinate and implement effective marketing strategies on behalf of Australia’s biggest group of Independent Pet Retailers to promote business growth of each independent retailer as well as the Just for Pets group.

Duties to include but not be limited to:

  • Conduct market research and analyse data to ascertain customer demand, customer habits and market trends in relation to services and goods on offer from pet stores across Australia
  • Stay ahead of the latest marketing trends, new technologies, competition activity, and industry best practices.
  • Identify which areas of the business requires focus for growth and development
  • Identify market opportunities for new and/or existing goods or services
  • Develop a set of marketing targets and determine the best marketing strategies (including website and social media content), developing a set of marketing objectives, marketing targets and KPIs for monitoring and control
  • Determine and advise owners on appropriate pricing plans
  • Develop ideas for, and assist with the design of, specific marketing campaigns 
  • Monitor the efficiency of current marketing campaigns (measuring results, tracking outcome and delivering weekly and monthly reports)
  • Support, co-ordinate and provide advice to third parties involved in marketing initiatives
  • Liaise with stakeholders and vendors, including independent pet store owners, to promote the success of activities and enhance the company’s presence
  • End-to-end content development, including planning, creation and execution
  • Creation of marketing campaigns and material including catalogues and magazines, video and audio content for social media and web (including online advertisement), PR and media relations. 
  • In-house video production and editing (including the creation of motion graphics)
  • eCommerce development and maintenance (using WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify)
  • Invest time upskilling junior team members (create and conduct in-house training programs)
  • Analyse consumer behaviour data using our In-Store Foot Traffic Analytics System (CCTV Data Analytics System), and generate strategies to improve processes, improve customer experience, monitor performance of the stores, and improve loss prevention activities and security
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as requested by management.

  • End-to-end content development, including planning, creation and execution
  • Previous experience in eCommerce Development ((WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify)
  • Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
  • Proficiency in Graphic Design (print and digital) and Adobe Suite
  • Experience in content creation for different media

Relevant Bachelor Degree + 2 years relevant full time experience in similar role required.

Salary $60K + super.

Position is located in our head office in Byron Bay NSW.
