IT doesn't seem that long ago that the soccer season finished and yet here it is again, yippee.
The Woodburn Wolves Club's three seniors teams had a great season last year and the club is looking forward to another one this season.
The club had a first and a fifth division men's team enter the competition last year.
The first division men played a courageous season but unfortunately finished at the lower end of the ladder. Rob Pursey is looking to nominate the team in a lower grade for this season to give them a better competitive chance.
The fifth division men had a fantastic season, finishing fourth on the ladder. That was a great result when you consider these guys played a lot of the season short on team numbers. Again they are ready to do it all again.
The third division women started the season off well and were undefeated in their first six games before injuries and absence due to pregnancy affected their results.
The team continued the season averaging nine to ten players a game right through to the major semi-finals.
Their determination and dedication paid off however, with the team finishing second on the ladder, missing out on playing a grand final by just one game.
The team says this year will be different and they are ready to show the other teams in the competition what they're made of.
Anyone interested in signing up with the senior teams can contact senior registrar Jo Slade on 0447 826 003.
Soccer is fantastic for your fitness, fun to play, great to watch and the teams are a terrific social bunch.
Fee payment plans can be arranged now to enable full payment by the start of the season which is around Easter.
