KARMICHAEL Hunt created head- lines around the nation when he defected from the NRL to AFL, and now the walking headline will grace the grounds of Ballina High School on Sunday.
The Gold Coast Suns will be in the Northern Rivers region over the weekend as part of the 2012 Australia Post AFL community camps.
Australia-wide an expected 800 Aussie Rules players will take the game to regional and rural communities, allowing football fans of all ages the chance to meet their sporting heroes.
Hunt and Gary Ablett Jnr along with other Suns players will conduct training sessions,visit schools and hospitals to promote a healthy and active lifestyle and of course AFL.
The Suns camps are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
The majority of the Suns team will head south, visiting Ballina, Lismore and Casino, while a small group will visit Rockhampton.
