Expo brings vibe tribe in

WHEN asked what it is that brings people back again and again to the Starlight Wellbeing Expo in Bangalow, organiser Raym Richards says simply, "It's the vibe of the place".

"It's just a great, laidback environment where like-minded people gather, all in the interest of health and well-being.

"Apart from the joy people get from being here, the featured workshops are always really popular.

"During the week we had a great workshop about the idea that you can reprogram your DNA through sacred journey; that was very popular.

"Today we have a workshop about activating your soul's purpose through the use of Australian bush flower essences."

This is the 15th year of the festival (there have been more than 30 as some years they have run more than once) and according to Raym, the expo shows no signs of slowing down.

"This year our numbers have grown," he said.

"We have a very loyal group of people who attend.

"And as all the workshops and talks are included in the admission price, it's great value. In any one day you will get a whole range of experts, a good introduction."

This year the expo features Australian bush flower essences, tarot, sound healing, psychic readers, spirit guide art, kinesiology, iridology, energy healing, natural skin care, sacred geometry and more.

Guests include shiatsu therapist Julia Kalytis and shaman Penny Chesney.

• The Starlight Wellbeing Expo will be at Bangalow A&I Hall today and tomorrow from 9.30am to 5.30pm.
• Admission is $15/$10.
• Admission covers workshops, talks, crystal singing bowl meditations, cafe chats and free healings.
• There's also healthy vegetarian and vegan food, organic coffee and gluten-free cakes.
