TWO environmental scientists and a lawyer will discuss the realities of coal seam gas mining at information evenings at Cawongla and Wadeville next week.
Environmental scientists Dr David Sharpe and Deborah Sharpe will talk to residents about the nature of coal seam gas and how drilling for the gas can impact on their land.
Dr and Ms Sharpe's presentations will be followed by a talk by senior lawyer from the Lismore Environmental Defender's Office, Sue Higginson, explaining what rights landholders has under the Petroleum Act.
The Cawongla meeting will be held at the Cawongla general store on Kyogle Road on Tuesday, December 13, from 6pm.
The Wadeville meeting will be held two days later at Annie's Garden Café, also on Kyogle Road.
There is limited seating available at both evenings.
