Nimbin Poetry World Cup is back

THE ninth Nimbin Performance Poetry World Cup will be held on the weekend of the August 6 and 7.

The Oasis Poetry Crew with Gail M. Clarke as co-ordinator are holding the last poetry night this Thursday 14th July, from 7.30 before preparation begins for the big weekend of spoken word. 48 contenders signed up for last years event providing a variety of style and thought provoking ideas.

Poets have 8 minutes to impress the judges and audience alike during the heats held all day Saturday. 

After last years success with staging all the heats, semi-finals and Grand Final in the School of Arts, Town Hall, we have decided to continue with this one venue. 

A cafe will operate all weekend and Sunday evening for great food and drinks.

The heats and semi-finals are free (although gold coin donations always welcome) with the Grand Final ticket price of $15/$10.
