Flood alert: Tweed, Richmond valleys

A FLOOD watch warning has been issued for the Tweed Valley with a 70% chance of moderate to major flooding developing from Monday onwards.
The warning, which also includes areas of the Brunswick, Richmond, and Clarence River valleys, was issued by the Bureau of Meteorology.
It stated an approaching trough would bring rain along the NSW north coast late in the weekend.
The trough was expected to remain in place for most of next week and cause widespread heavy rain and flooding along the northern coast and inland.
