Season executive chef Reuben Radonich with the Bangalow pork belly he prepared for the Masterchef contestants.
MASTERCHEF is coming to Kingscliff.
Reuben Radonich, executive chef of Season restaurant at Peppers Resort, has been chosen as one of the industry expert chefs to deliver a master class for the reality television show's contestants on May 26.
Kingscliff will get a second taste of the popular show in June when last year's Master- chef winner Adam Liaw visits Season to collaborate with Mr Radonich to prepare a four-course dinner, specialising in local produce.
“When the contestants came for their master class I showed them our signature Bangalow pork belly. They seemed to take a lot away from it, so hopefully they can utilise some of the tips I gave them,” Mr Radonich said.
“For our dinner, A Taste of Masterchef, I've let Adam know about many of the local ingredients I like to use and he's worked with those.
“When I read the descriptions I was really excited.
“I'm looking forward to it.”
A Taste of Masterchef will be a “culinary celebration” with a four-course dinner.
The menu is predicted to feature an Asian fusion twist, considering Mr Liaw's dream to run his own Asian-inspired hotel.
The meal will be complemented with matching wines and at $130 per person will be an extreme culinary experience.
Guests will also receive a complimentary copy of the Masterchef Series 2 cookbook and can make a holiday of the night by booking accommodation at Peppers Salt Resort and Spa.
A Taste of Masterchef begins at 6.30pm on Friday, June 10. RSVPs close on June 3.
