West Ballina shop complex gets nod

A $2.5 MILLION retail development at West Ballina has been approved by the Ballina Shire Council.
The site is located just to the east of the Big Prawn, and was the location of the Suntori Motel from the 1960s until it stopped operating in 2006 and was then demolished.
The new development will include stores for bait and tackle, bulky goods, general retail and takeaway food.
