A classic: Summerland Sports and Classic Car Club president Bryan White and Rev Mark Harris, of St Andrew’s, with a Jaguar XK 140 which will be at today’s market day.
CLASSIC Cars will take centre stage at today’s St Andrew’s Anglican Church annual market day.
From historic Jaguars to a Morris Minor convertible, members of the Summerland Sports and Classic Car Club will show off a large collection of their vehicles
“We do what we can wherever we can,” said club president Byron White.
“If that adds interest to a local show or the Lismore community we are only too pleased to be there to support them, and hopefully bring a few more people and raise a few more dollars.”
The market day, which runs until 2pm, raises funds for the church’s outreach program, meals for the needy, and general operating expenditure.
An alfresco breakfast will be followed by a Devonshire tea and an all-day barbecue.
And, of course, there will be the usual popular stalls, including bric-a-brac, crafts and home-made cakes and scones.
Children’s activities will include face-painting, hoopla and competitions.
