A 17-YEAR-OLD Sydney boy has been charged with assaulting a six-month-old baby at Port Macquarie in northern NSW.
The baby boy was taken to Sydney Children's Hospital in April with serious injuries.
Detectives from Port Macquarie issued a warrant for the arrest of a teenage boy and police patrolling Woodstock Avenue in the western Sydney suburb of Whalan on Tuesday night arrested a 17-year-old boy.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in Parramatta Children's Court on Wednesday.
