CORAKI and Woodburnforeshore reserves are due for a makeover, which is good news for locals and tourists alike.
Additional picnic seating, improved lighting and landscaping are all on the drawing board for both areas in the draft management plans just relea-sed by the Richmond Valley Council.
Head of the environment team for the Land and Property Management Authority, David McPherson, said the plans foc-used on improved facilities and infrastructure, as well as responsible environmental and heritage management.
“At Coraki the emphasis is on recreational values,” he said. “At Woodburn, the aim is to increase stopover traffic.”
Upgrades to playground and picnic areas were part of the measures being planned, he said.
The draft plans can be viewed at the Grafton Office of the Land and Property Management Authority, Richmond Valley Council Chambers at Casino and Evans Head, Woodburn Tourist Information Centre, Coraki Caravan Park office and www.lpma.nsw.gov.au
