“The MusterChef Cook-off is a great opportunity for budding cooks to show off their skills on the camp oven and gain some useful tips from James Reeson along the way,” Muster chairman Carl Green said.

Mr Green said entrants even had the opportunity to win the new Hillbilly Camping camp oven used in the competition.

The competition will begin during the week, with the grand final on Muster Saturday when Reeson will taste the dishes and announce the winner.

Along with the camp oven, the winner has the chance to win an Evakool esky, Muster merchandise and CD packs, as well as corporate suite experiences.

“It’s a pleasure to have somebody with James Reeson’s international experience and celebrity status to be offering this opportunity to muster patrons,” Muster co-ordinator Brian Sansom said.

A small fee will provide entrants with a chosen recipe, ingredients from the IGA pantry and use of the camp oven, or alternatively, you can send your signature camp oven recipe to: The Muster Office, PO Box 616, Gympie, Qld, 4570 or email info@muster .com.au.

The best ones may make it to the MusterChef kitchen.

Register your interest by emailing info@muster.com.au or phoning the Muster office 5482 2099.

The 2010 Music Muster is on from August 24 to 29 at Amamoor Creek State Forest Park.
