THE North East Forest Alliance has called on the Minister for the Environment, Frank Sartor, to act immediately to stop 'illegal' logging in Doubleduke State Forest, inland from Evans Head, and to prosecute Forests NSW for their blatant disregard for threatened species.

NEFA spokesperson, Dailan Pugh, said under Forests NSW’s licence logging and roading was prohibited in areas which had not been subject to compartment mark up surveys.
NEFA’s audit report will be released when complete.
