THERE might be lullabies and nursery rhymes in Dannii Minogue's immediate future, but the pregnant star plans to be back out on the dance floor before long.

The mother-to-be has signed a new record contract worth STG1 million ($A1.71 million) with dance label Ministry of Sound, Britain's Sunday Mirror reports.

The younger Minogue, who is due to return as a judge on UK reality show The X Factor in September is likely to have a new single out at the end of the year.

Her attempts to re-launch her music career will be filmed for a British reality show, which will also focus on her relationship with model boyfriend Kris Smith.
