X marks the spot for brothers
ROCKHAMPTON'S Russell brothers have the X-Factor.
Aaron, 25, and Zac, 21, each impressed at recent auditions for the popular television show.
The pair must now wait to see if they're called to go to the next stage of auditions in May.
Aaron was among the thousands who auditioned in Brisbane on the weekend.
His cheeky approach and top performances, which included a rendition of Slide by The Goo Goo Dolls, helped him catch the attention of the judges, which at this early stage didn't include any of the household names such as Natalie Bassingthwaighte.
"I'd pretty much been hounded and harassed by people to do it, so I decided to give it a go," Aaron said.
Zac performed in Cairns last week, belting out Stevie Wonder's Superstition, among his repertoire.
The brothers, former Heights College students, both play gigs on the Rockhampton music scene and work with their father in the family business.
