A TRUCK driver has died after he rolled his rig near Casino this afternoon.

The crash occurred 12km along Mongogarie Rd at Mongogarie around 2.45pm.

Police, paramedics, firefighters and the Casino Volunteer Rescue Association workers are at the scene.

Officers from the Ballina Crash Investigation Unit are on their way to the crash site to begin investigations.

Police have advised motorists traveling on Mongogarie Rd to be careful and have asked any witnesses to contact their local police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
