THE Hub Lounge Bar and Cafe has ceased trading at its premises on Keen St, Lismore.

On a post on their Facebook page the Hub Team acknowledged the business would no longer be operating.

"The Hub lounge Bar & Cafe regret to inform our lovely patrons that we have had to cease trading due to major problems with the building,” they wrote.

"We loved our time with you and we will be back at a bigger and better venue in the future.

"We wish you all the best and sorry to anyone who has events booked in or had planned to drop in.”

While open, the Hub Lounge Bar and Cafe garnered 1,700 followers and 38 five-star reviews.

"Clean, ambient, chill music, great food, coffee and family friendly. I imagine the other bars will be upset about these guys. Good on them and I love how they are opening the front up. Been in there working our way through the menu, which is very reasonably priced and the chef is clearly passionate about his creations. I'm fast becoming a regular,” Vicky Stinson said.

Gabby Andrews wrote: "My partner and I had a burger last night from here and it was the best burger we had ever tasted.”

"Really impressed. Had lunch and coffee here today. Coffee was one of the best I've had in town,” Ty Bowes posted.

Many people expressed regret that The Hub were closing.

"We will all support you when you return. Thanks so much for your hospitality!” Selena Lurhs wrote.

Natalie Van Der Klei wrote: "Such a shame!”

The Hub opened on April 8 this year after 3rd Eye Productions bought the location from Jack's Bar.

Jack's Bar had recently been raided and forced into a 30-hour closure of the bar.

The former owner, Darren (Jack) Barry retained ownership of the accommodation side of the business.
