A NIGHT of screaming, dancing and crying awaits excited Toowoomba schoolgirls Gemma Hill and Sarah Payne as they prepare for boy band One Direction's Brisbane concert.

The 14-year-old Centenary Heights State High School students will see their British and Irish idols Niall, Liam, Louis, Zayn and Harry in the flesh at their sold-out Brisbane concert tonight.

But don't ask them to pick their favourite.

"We like them all for different reasons," Sarah explained.

She said to be a true fan, also known as a Directioner, she could not have a favourite.

The same logic applied to the band's catalogue of hits, although the girls said upbeat numbers like Up All Night and What Makes You Beautiful would prove great dance music at the concert.

Gemma was very grateful to her mother Shannon Hill, who managed to secure the tickets online for $72 each before they sold out within three minutes.

Scalpers have reportedly been fetching $4000 online for groups of four tickets to the Brisbane show.

"I have the best mum," Gemma said.
