Murder trial jury discharged

THE jury in the Jack Garda murder trial has been discharged in the Lismore Supreme Court this morning.

Judge Harrison released the 12-member jury at about 10.15am, only five minutes after they entered court.

The court heard that one juror had failed to inform the court of a prior medical condition that would have prevented them from sitting on the trial for the expected four weeks.

Another jury was selected and sworn in at about 11.15am.
