MULLUMBIMBY raised rapper Iggy Azalea is now in the same music record book ranks as The Beatles.

Our former local girl's hit Fancy has topped the Billboard Hot 100 - the toughest pop chart in the world to crack, while her collab with Ariana Grande, Problem, sits in second place.

Iggy joins the 60s boy band sensation as the only act to rank number one and two simultaneously with their first two chart entries.

The Beatles pulled off the feat in 1964 with I Wanna Hold Your Hand and She Loves You. The chart ascension came after their historic appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show that year.

It's a nice birthday present for Iggy, who turns 24 next week.
