Mullum telehealth decision today
THE Mullumbimby community is eagerly anticipating a decision on whether telehealth will be introduced at its local hospital to be made at a meeting of the Northern NSW Local Health District this afternoon.
Nurses at the facility remain opposed to telehealth without the presence of doctors which leads many to believe that it will not go ahead.
The LHD has repeatedly stated that it would not introduce telehealth without the support of nurses.
But it has also raised concerns about what alternative option may be taken to cut a budget blow-out at the facility.
