FOOTBALL: The fourth-round draw for the EFL Cup has thrown up three intriguing ties involving English Premier League clubs.

The most fascinating will be the clash between Manchester rivals United and City, with managers Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola set to go head to head again.

Cup holders City eased into round four with a 2-1 victory at Swansea to extend its winning start to the season to nine.

United ended a run of three straight defeats with a 3-1 success at League One Northampton Town.

United and City have already met once this season, with Guardiola's team taking bragging rights with a 2-1 Premier League victory at Old Trafford last month.

In other games West Ham will host London rival Chelsea, while Tottenham travels to Liverpool.

West Ham needed a dramatic injury time free-kick from Dimitri Payet to beat League Two Accrington Stanley, while Spurs eased past League One's Gillingham 5-0 at White Hart Lane.

In another all-EPL clash, Sunderland, which won 2-1 at QPR, faces Southampton, a 2-0 winner over Crystal Palace.

There will be at least two Championship sides in the quarter-finals after Rafa Benitez's Newcastle was drawn against Preston, while Norwich travels to Leeds.

Arsenal has been drawn against Reading while Hull City faces Championship side Bristol City.
