Man burnt in fireworks explosion dies in hospital

A BURNS victim has died in hospital following an explosion at a fireworks factory near Goulburn.

The 38-year-old suffered critical burns to 85% of his body when a fire broke out in a bunker where fireworks are stored on Monday.

He was airlifted to Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital where he died on Tuesday morning.

Police and Workcover are investigating.
