Making the “new” North Wall look good again

IT just goes to show, photographed the right way even something intrinsically ugly can be made to look beautiful.

These photos were taken by amateur photographer Tony Partridge.

Mr Partridge says he spends his working hours labouring as an engineer, but the rest of the time he's out with a camera looking for the perfect shot.

He seems to find it pretty regularly too.

Mr Partridge's blog has some amazing images on it, from North Wall at Ballina to CSG protests at Doubtful Creek and the street art in Lismore's laneways.

Mr Partridge said he had no formal training as a photographer.

"I'm self taught and have had a camera in my hands from a young age (learning by doing)," he said. "I can't get enough of it and whenever I leave the house the camera is always with me.

"You never know when an opportunity may present itself."

We'll keep sharing Mr Partridge's photos for as long as he's happy to let us, but you can also head over and see them for yourself now.

The next gallery on his blog would include sunrise photos from Boulders Beach, Lighthouse Beach, and Seven Mile Beach.
