Iggy’s Versace gown flown in especially for MTV awards

WHETHER you love her or hate her, there's no denying Iggy Azalea was one of the fashion standouts at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, held in Los Angeles yesterday.

First she turned heads on the red carpet with her stunning custom-made silver metallic Versace gown, flown in from Milan with a personal "dress handler".

However, as Iggy told hosts on the red carpet, when the dress arrived it didn't fit her properly, so it had to be "buffed apart" and sewn onto her.

Later, the Mullumbimby-raised rapper stole the show with a hot performance of her song Black Widow with British singer Rita Ora.

Iggy herself was nominated for seven VMA awards this year and took home one - the Best Pop Video Music Award for her collaboration on Ariana Grande's song Problem.
