THE funniest comedians from this year's Sydney Comedy Festival are hitting the road and bringing all-star comedy showcases to Lismore and Byron Bay.

With a comedy line up expertly curated from this year's festival, audiences will be treated to a huge night that is sure to leave them sore from belly laughs!

MC for the showcase is the insatiable Dave Williams (pictured).

With more than a decade of rocking stages globally, Williams' unique brand of humour has made him one of Australia's most-sought after comedians.

Highlights from the showcase will include stand-up comedian and broadcaster Greg Sullivan, energetic "tour-de-force” Nikki Britton, plus ABC's Fresh Blood alumnus and disenfranchised funny-man Greg Larsen.

Williams said the tatent this year is hilarious.

"I am bringing heavyweight talent, off the charts, interstellar, kind of next level gear to your awesome area,” he said.

"As MC I'll do newer material, but as soon as I get to a new area I like to do a bit of research and I always open with something local, something topical, maybe something that people who live there don't notice but an outsider may.

"I am yet to do any research on Lismore, but I have done Byron Bay because I have performed in Byron a few times before.

"But I like to keep it super fresh so I will probably walk around town during the day, soaking up some of the vibes, sample some of the local produce.”

Event details

At Lismore City Hall on Thursday, September 22, at 7.30pm, and at the Byron Theatre on Saturday, September 24, for two shows at 5pm and 8pm. Tickets $35.
