Two hit holes-in-one at golf tournament

GOLFING LEGENDS: Greg Ryan and Stephen Nelson both score a hole in one on the same day.

THE odds of two holes in one in a golf competition would be phenomenal, but that is what happened at Casino Golf Club last month.

Not only that, they happened on the same hole one after the other.

The two accurate hitters were plumber Stephen Nelson and school teacher Greg Ryan, who used a six iron.

"I was the last person in my group of four to tee off," Mr Ryan said.

"My son was in the group when I got the hole-in-one."

Mr Nelson was then the first of the next group to hit off, also scoring the magical shot with his pitching wedge.

"I was very excited as it's my first hole in one," he said.

Mr Ryan is more of an old hand as this was his third hole in one in competition.
