Flickerfest comes to Bangalow

THE international film festival that's just the ticket for people with short attention spans hits Bangalow next Friday night.

Billed as Australia's only Academy accredited and BAFTA recognised short film festival, it will be Flickerfest's 16th year in Bangalow, with a line-up including many world or Australian film premieres.

"The calibre of this year's program is undeniable, with several films screening at some of the world's most prominent and revered film festivals, including Sundance and Cannes," tour co-ordinator Shane Rennie said.

The opening credits will roll at Flickerfest Bangalow from 7.30pm starring a glamorous spread of food and drinks.

The screening of The Best of the International 1 program will follow, with highlights including Route 43 Miracle from Sweden and Herd Leader from Canada.

The program featuring Australian, international and Northern Rivers-made films will continue through till Sunday.
