CCTV footage of the tragic car crash that killed The Fast and the Furious actor Paul Walker and his friend Roger Rodas has been released on the internet.

The video, uploaded by entertainment website TMZ.com, showsa plume of smoke behind trees as the car collides with the lamp post before explodining.

When the video is slowed down that the extent of the crash becomes more clear. Other vehicles are quick to arrive on the scene followed by a fire engine.

Mr Walker and Mr Rodas were driving back from a charity event on Sunday held by the Fast and Furious actor when Mr Rodas apparently lost  control of a Porsche Carrera GT.
