'Bone found' in underworld search

A FAMILY has been evacuated from its Sydney home after police found what is believed to be a human bone in the backyard.

Police began using ground-penetrating radars in the yard on Wednesday to search for the remains of underworld figure Cengiz Serac who has been missing since 2005.

On Thursday they evacuated the family after a number of items including a bone were found under the surface.

The Merrylands property remains under police guard.
